Drag Racing + DR's
Getting my MT DR's next weekend, and going to the track. I need some tips on how exactly to launch.
Rev to 3500, and dump? Any tips would be appreciated.
(2nd time ever at the track)

Yeah pretty much thats it.
Lower the tire pressure anywhere from 15-25psi (I would start higher and go lower) do a nice little burnout and pretty much rev up to whatever you want and dump the clutch.
But becareful b/c you could ***^ your driveshaft if youre running the stock one.

Driveshaft should be fine. I've been launching at 5k with my E.T. Streets and have no problems. You'll just have to find the sweet spot and psi set up for the DR.Like white07 said nice little burnout and you'll be good to go.Chances are you'll bog it the first launch or back out of it when it hooks, but just keep in it. Good luck and be safe.

can you explain bog some more please. how to avoid? etc.. i just need some tips for the track. i went 2 weeks ago and my best was a 13.9, my 60 was a 2.4, i wasnt satisfied. people on here told me i shold be able to bring it down to low 13's easily with 17's and DRs. so i took there advice and im purchasing some stock 17x8's with mt dr's. thanks!

Bogging . . .Basically you dump the clutch, it hooks great, but your RPMsaren't high enough so the car studders a little bit and then you go. To solve the issue all you really need to do is raise your rpms a little and go from there.
