Maybe these pics will give you an idea.

If you want to clear the calipers, run a spacer and install extra-heavy/extra-long studs as I have done. It was a bit of a pain on my '02, butnot sure how difficult on an S197. It was worth the effort as I am now running 10.5"son 2" drop with1/2" spacers andzero rubbing.[sm=wootwoot.gif]

***HERE*** are some picsin the later posts of this thread if curious.

Im runninng 19 x 8.5 front and 19 x 9.5 in back you probablyneed a 40 mm offset on back.
If your heart is set on those rims like said before you can get small spacers in 1/8 increments I believe. to clear your rotors.
oh yea 245 x40 front and 295 x35 bfg kdw2 tires in case that was gonna be your other question.

good luck on your Rim hunt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Based on yb's info, youwill need to replace your lug bolts to get wide enough spacer to clear caliper. Going from +22mm ~ +40mm is over 5/8" and I wouldn't go that much without new bolts. It is worth doing if you really want those rims

thanks for all the replies.. i think as of right now i might go with 19 X 8.5fronts and backswith the 45 offset so i clear all the calibers. anyone see any problem with that? look wise or just mechanically?

also any tire suggestions for 19 X 8.5 45 offset?

Hold on there, mister

Something occured to me last night after I posted. The off-set will not necessarily create an issue, as with the wheel you have pictured.THAT wheel hasthe face or spokes way outward toward the front face. This area is much deeper than the actual mounting face of wheel itself, and leaves a "void" where the caliper should have proper clerance (the wider the wheel, the larger the "void"). If it were adeep-dish wheel, the spokes would be set farther back toward the mounting face and would have less"void" for calipers.

Hereare a couple pics. Onewith the void and should give you the cearance you need and the other showing caliper and how it should fit into this void. Look at dimension "A" of caliper pic, you will see that it will fit into the void. This is the dimension you need to address, NOT the
off-set.

wow i didnt even think it worked that way.. like with an individual case for each particular wheel. it sucks not knowing that much about wheels.. complicated stuff. so how do you think i could find out if the void will be large enough? do you think by calling a wheel and body shop around the area they would be able to give me a clean yes or no?
