hps pads with stock brake fluid
Hey, I just installed my new hawk hps brake pads on my 08 gt for an autocross this weekend, but I cant find any high temp fluid (ATE) locally to put in the system. Is it ok to do an autocross on the hps pads with stock brake fluid, or should i put the stock pads back on for it?

No problem.
While autox isn't hard on fluid in the traditional sense, it is hard on fluid because the ABS pump is hard are work. In fact I just changed the fluid in our autox car, and the OEM stuff was BLACK and a mess. The brakes felt like crap and it was the fluid's fault.
I stock ATE, because it's inexpensive, has nice high temp ratings, but mostly because it's a lowcompressability fluid compared to most (even some outright race stuff like AP600).
You won't generally find ATE locally unless you trip over a German car repair shop, they might have some. I always have it.

yeah i actually bought my pads and some superblue from you, but i figured if i went into the dealer with blue fluid in my reservoir they might give me crap. I guess i will just order some typ200 from you.

Probably won't even notice, and if they ask, well... it meets and exceeds Ford specs. They won't bounce you warranty over brake fluid, if that's what you are worried about. Put in what you have....
