How to stop the rotor pro rotors from rusting?
iI bought the ones that are Black but the Zinc coating on the drilled and slotted sections are rusting almost overnight. Do I need to paint in the holes and slots and maybe clear coat the rotors to stop the rust. After you drive the car the rust wears off but settles in my inner rim area and looks like Chit!!!!
Suggestions please.
I do remember a post where someone cleard them to stop the rusting but can't find the link.

That is a light surface rust that will form on any steel-based brake rotor (with the exception of the ceramics). That rust layer is simply a product of being exposed to air and will not harm anything - it is a byproduct of the materials used for the rotor.
Whatever you do, DO NOT PAINT THE ROTOR; it is a wear surface intended for metal to metal contact. By painting the rotor, you will ruin the frictional behavior between the pads and rotor surface. In addition, anything you do put on there would be worn away (hopefully very quickly before your car runs uncontrolled into a tree).
Rotor and pad dust is just something any car owner has to deal with. Get some Simple Green to clean up your phat rimz.
