Default Will 245/40/18 fit?

Hello,

Winter tire time. I have the polished 18" stock 5-spokes on my 2008 GT.

My friend has a set of 245/40/18 he's willing to give me, which would save about $1000 over having to buy a set of winter tires.

Yes, I know the speedometer will be off with the lower aspect ratio. Question, will 245s fit in the rim, and will I have any rubbing issues with the wider front tires?

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

They'll fit fine. The stock fanblades are 18 x 8.5 and 255's are often recommended. Use this to help figure out how far off your speedometer will be:

Your speedo can also be corrected easily by use of a hand-held tuner. I have an SCTx2 and can just program the revs-per-mile/diameter (forget which at the moment) and can be done in just a few minutes.
