so if i swap to the gt500 takeoff wheels, i'll have to punch the reset button everytime i drive?
also, will i need to get a speed recalibration from bumping up to 18 from 17s?
thanks, not intending to hijack, just had some questions and didn't want to waste it on a new post.

What matters is not the wheel size but the outside diameter of the tires. Stock tires are 27" in diameter so if your replacement tires are the same diameter then no problem. On 18 inch rims 255/45/18, my winter tire size, and 285/40/18, my summer tire size, are both 27" diameter.

After 100 years of wheels without sensors, why now? I know they serve a purpose and keep your tire properly inflated but without them I can only see Ford trying to get out of lawsuits without them or void any valid warranties.

well that's a bummer, i thought it'd be an easy process.
well i guess it's not that bad, everytime i turn the car on, it's click seat heater, rear defroster, t/c off..now i just have to add the reset button.
yay!

I didn't put the TPMS sensors in my new wheels and every so often the light comes on. I don't have the reset button in my car, so I have to deal with the light. It doesn't say on for long though. My stock wheels/tires are in a storage closet, so it might transmit a good signal for a long ways. Either way, I don't have to deal with it. (Knocks on wood)

Most people don't check their tire pressure so the government has to protect them. Its the process that forces all of us to live with these dumb-down mandates. They should put all these parts and pieces in a "safety option package" for those who can't, or won't, do it themselves.
