Lowering when you have 18x10's all the way around?

Maybe a lot to do with tire size. I am running 275/35/18s up front and have had no issues with rubbing and mine is dropped fairly low on coilovers.

Seems to be a big difference between the 40 & 35 series tires. Probably get a lot nicer ride than mine though,

Well... I have a 45mm offset as said before with the 18x10's and my tire size is 275/40/18 with no rubbing.

However I am NOT lowered at the moment.
Perhaps if I do lower I will have to switch to 35's.
UNLESS it is the offset of the wheel that makes the difference.

I'd just like to know before hand.
That can make quite a difference in cost for the project.

P.S. what is your offset on your wheels? If the offset is different perhaps this can help answer the question.
(edit: I am assuming the same as mine if you have a ROUSH and if so then the question if this is the decider or the wheels remains unanswered)

I am running the same rims as Sleeper 08 and have no rubbing issues and am lowered. But at least it looks like there is a fix if you do have issues with rubbing. Here is another thread on the issue with the same tire size.

Good Luck... The fun of modding..

Where do the steering stops mount? I found a thread that talks about them but doesn't explain where they go https://mustangforums.com/forum/s197...ing-stops.html
A simple search might find posts about steering stops...
They are plastic rings that go on the tie rods under the rubber boots
on the ends of the steering rack. They limit steering travel and increase the turning radius but prevent rubbing at the same time.
