Default OEM or aftermarket Calipers

My calipers need to go. Any one replace/upgrade the stock calipers?

have you upgraded to better brake lines and better pads? i think you'll be safe with that.

Why do your calipers need to go?

If you are asking about whether ot not you should do an upgrade to improve braking performance then you should have a look at some of the recent threads in this forum about Big Brake Kits (BBKs).

Several people who track their cars regularly and put loads on the brakes far in excess of what you should ever see on the street suggest the sequence is better pads, DOT4 fluid, stainless steel brake lines and front brake cooking.

Also improving your tires will improve your braking.

I was more looking to replace them because they look like death. I would love to get a BBK but I am spending money on other mods. Maybe down the road..

If you are going for looks, you can easily paint them or get covers (AM sells them). The next "cheapest" solution is to go with the take-off GT500 brembo kits.

Once you factor in the cost of the wheels needed to clear the Brembo's and the cost of tires to fit those wheels then it starts to get pretty expensive.

i agree...replace and paint them you will have less clearance issues to deal with. i use the stockers and they work just fine. many threads on what to use. $1200 is a lot of Moo-la, better spent somewhere else.
