What gears would normally come stock in a 2005 GT Manual ? 3.55 ??

I believe it is 3.55 for manual tranny and 3.31 for auto but I've also heard that 3.55's are an option for gt's with a manual. Mine has a sticker on the rear diff that says 3.55 so maybe they all do. Hope this helps

05's had 3.31's stock. In 2007 when I purchased my car, 3.55's were an option and what I demanded. Did me a lot of good... 3 months later I had 4.10's.

All 05 manuals came with 3.55s.

I stand corrected. On my 07' 3.31's were standard.
3.31:1 on automatics and 3.55:1 on manual transmission 2005-2008 mustang GT's

In at least 2007, 3.31 gears were standard on a manual transmission but 3.55's were offered as an option.


The Rear Axle Code is on the door sticker...


BG - 3.31 - non-limited slip

CD - 3.55 - limited slip

CG - 3.31 - limited slip
