I home made mine and its a s stiff as a you know what of a preacher...
And yes those are 1/4" thick mounting plates with 1/4" thick back-up
plates to sandwich the frames sheetmetal for stouter attachment points.
And an extra piece of DOM tubing...
Notice how the brackets are not straight with the tubing as the
stangs attachment points are not square/parallel. I tacked the ends
into place on the stang then removed the piece for final welding and
painting...
The OEM bar is made from swingset quality tubing with flattened
ends to attach it. And costs an arm and a leg at the stealership.
My 07 S197 didnt come with one as most pre 08 models didnt have
them cept the verts. Now they all come with the A-Arm bar...

I have one with torque limiters to the tranny. I can feel the limiters, as shifting feel and precision is enhanced, but I can't say I feel anything from the brace itself (acting on the K-member). But then again, they're cheap and easy to install, and as I recall even Ford went to adding them on the GT500.

Best,
-j

i threw on the steeda g trac. made the steering feel more precise. youre not gonna get the holy **** my front end is ridiculously tighter feeling. just more precise steering and a little more chassis firmness.
