Sway bar bolts

Sway bar bolts
Ok, I know I've seen a post before that had what bolts you need to buy to install a rear sway bar ...and saw they could be bought at a local hardware store, but I did a search and can't find them.
I just bought GT take off sway bars for my '07 vert and I need to know what nuts and bolts to buy to install the rear sway.
Can someone please provide either the info or a link to a previous post that had the info?
thanks

Just a thought but have you called a dealer parts department? I had to pick up some assorted suspension nuts/bolts from there myself the other day. They pull up a schematic and turn the screen to either let you pick the parts you need yourself or they can tell you.

For the rear you will need four (4) bolts, washers and nuts: 8 x 16 for the for the end mounts behind the shocks. You will need two (2) bolts, washers and nuts: 12 x 65 for the end links (these should be threaded at the ends only because the end link bushings ride on the smooth center of the bolt). If you bought these at a dealer it will cost you over $25. Go to a good hardware supply store and get GRADE 8 (don't go cheap because of the tensil strength needed and rust protection) - should cost under $10.

Here is what I ended up getting at the stealership.
It looks OEM instead of a hardware store forked up
install that sticks out like a sore thumb.

Saving a little now, costs you a lot in the long run.
You must be the one buying the Fram Oil Filters?
Grade 8 are too brittle for suspension fastners.
Grade 8 does not pertain to the rust protection level.
Thats the coating and Grade 8 does not spec the coating.
Most think grade 8 bolts are for everything.
They have their place.
The suspension fastners from Ford are of the one time use variety.
Buddy mounted his winch with grade 8 hardware.
When it was under a high load pulling his *** out,
they all let loose at once and the winch went a flying.
The links dont 'ride on the smooth center of the bolt'.
Once properly tightened, they cinch up on the metal
spacer inside the rubber bushing. No 'riding'.
Done much mechanic work?

Good advice. I am skipping the hardware store bolts. Not paying stealership prices either. I bought the sway bar hardware kit for v6's without a factory rear bar.
