Scrubbed R comp. tire wear
#2
"scrubbed" tires have usually had 1 heat cycle through them to break them in, from there it depends on what tires are they. Every tire is different. R-comps aren't street tires so you really cant measure there life expectancy by the wear bars. It is going to come down to how many heat cycles have been through them and how there performance falls off from there. Some have long life spans, meaning they go through a large number of heat cycles some have short life spans with fewer heat cycles.

I can't run to cord on Hoosier's, they lose all grip before that. Now if you are cording the shoulders, that's different (and indicates a setup and/or driving issue). I get very good tire wear, tend to wear the centers out before anything due to the tire I run on the mandated (in the class) stock rim size.

I'll almost invariably start to show just a little bit of cord at some point, i.e. smaller than a dime-patch. I rotate my tires front to back halfway through the day or weekend since my fronts usually seem to wear more in the center and my rears seem to wear on the outboard shoulders.
