They're those stoplights at the end on on-ramps which toggle (fairly quickly) between red/green -- letting either 1 or 2 cars per on-ramp lane onto the freeway at a time.

In short, they're little (physically speaking) stoplights which regulate the onslaught of additional traffic onto a freeway during peak hours. If, during the morning/evening rush hours, everyone tried to get on the interstates at the same time, we're talking bottlenecks.

Consequently, the bottlenecks occur on the on-ramps instead. During mid-day and after hours (weekends, too), they turn them off.

"Ramp Meter" was just the best term I could think of to describe them; maybe there's a more precise, technical name for them.

Car is looking sharp. Glad to hear its a blast to drive. I dont have mountains, but we do have a section of twisty roads in a scenic hilly area. Can't wait to have some fun...

Yeah, the new suspension setup is definitely killer! I'm loving mine!

By the way, your 2010 is looking badass! I love the GT500 spoiler and Roush diffuser, and now it has the perfect stance!

Chad, I see your wheels are for sale. Time to tell us what you're getting.

Hows the ride, I put steeda sport springs and bilstein shocks and struts in my 01 GT with X2 ball joints and it firmed it up too much for a daily driver, so ive always been nervous about messing with my daily driver, any response why my new edge GT is harsher riding? And how does the new suspension ride on your 10 GT?
