Any way to lower my GT an inch or so without having a harsher ride?

hey i'm just staying with what the guy asked. 1.0 will ride softer then 1.5. I had sport lines which are 2.0 inches lower and the ride was still livable, but the pro's i have now ride noticeably better and that's only a half inch also.
