Koni STR.T's on backorder

Like many of you, I decided it was time to tackle the suspension, and after reading so many good reviews on the steeda springs + koni STR.T's, I decided to make the purchase from Sam Strano. However, today he called and informed me that the shocks are on backorder and he is unsure when he will be seeing them.

I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to the Koni Yellows since they were currently on sale, plus having the adjustability built in will be nice.

The SRT's are basically the Yellows set to softest (but more firm than OEM) setting. They don't offer the adjustable dampening of the Yellows, but it not going to track your car they're a solid product at an attractive price point. You'll be happy with the real world comfort. Koni lowered the price by taking out the adjustability, but it's still full build / strength otherwise. They've been a big seller for them because it let's the compete with the Monroe / whoever "regular" oem replacement stuff.

If the Steeda springs are close to the oem spring rate or a little more firm, the SRTs are up to it. You wouldn't want to pair these with 300 lb race springs, because that would overwhelm / prematurely wear out the SRTs.

I *think* the Steedas are like 20% more firm?? and do a nice lowering without getting stupid.

This is a bummer... ws going to order the entire set up from Strano, springs shocks/struts, panhard bat. Hopefully they are back within a couple of weeks.

Why are Koni Yellows or Koni SRT's better than Fords own shocks M-18000-A?
