Default Suspension Pop after Lowering Help!?

I had the FRPP pack installed on my 2010 GT500 and now I am getting that lovely pop on the drivers side when I back up and turn slowly. I am guessing it has to do with the upper strut mounts, I had new svt ones installed I feel I should have gone with j&m or steeda hd mounts. Lower isolators are installed so I am sort of stumped and jumping to what ifs.

Anybody else have this issue? If so the solution is?

Same thing happened on my GT500 and I installed the Maximum Motorsports camber plates with the FR springs. I know all the bolts (upper strut nut and sway bar end link nuts) are tightened to spec because I did the install. I re-used the OEM struts. I even had the lower control arms replaced on the TSB with the same results.

I just learned to live with the popping noise because it only occurs while slowly maneuvering the car and never at speed. One day, I will replace the struts with ones better suited for a lowered suspension (D-Specs or Koni Yellows) and perhaps that will help.

I got the same pop when I lowered. Springs only. A year later I replaced the stock shocks with Koni's and changed over to the SVT strut mounts. Still have the same pop on the passenger side. I made a choice to stop noticing it. lol.

It's your upper strut mounts. Mine were popping slightly at stock height and got much worse once I put new springs on. Put new GT500 mounts in and I am pop free.

I bought new GT500 strut mounts though they may not be HD enough for higher rate springs on the GT500 though they are good for the higher rate springs on the GT do to the lighter front end weight.

Did the popping occur when doing slow turns for example pulling in and out of a driveway?

Yes, low speed turning, especially bad when turning in reverse. If the GT500 mounts don't work for you, I would look into Steeda or J&M camber plates.

Any opinions on which ones?

First issue is cost...The Steeda variety is much more expensive. However, they are more forgiving to road vibrations. J&Ms are more affordable but stiffer.
