Default Drag race look on the street?

I need some ideas on this one. I will be using my 2011 as a daily driver and a weekend ET car. My goal is to have a front rim (15") and tire that will remain on the car to do both, but not have that short no side wall look and width. At the same time still be able to wear well and handle the daily driving. For the rear I want a 15" dia and 8" or 9" width with a taller wider look. Should have a slight nose down attitude. For the track I'll just get some steel rims and mount the radials to those and change at the track. I come from the really ol school buying your car on saturday, bolt on thetractionbars, headers, cherry bombs and slicks go race on Sunday. I really think the new Mustang fits that class. Thanks in advance for your help.

15's on thea S197 are a problem as they need to clear the brake calipers. There are only 1 or 2 available options out there I believe. 16's will be a whole lot easier to do and you'll have plenty of designs and width's to choose from. If you have ABS then you're going to need to have equal diameter tires all around. I'd adjust the rake with a spring swap.

Check out Terry Tigerhonakers Bullitt on IMBOC. I think it maybe the look you are going for.

808 THANKS I have been to Brenspeed site and saw them. From reading the info sounds like 15" could work given the right backspacing. I just don't like having to buy a specific wheel as I want my car to reflect my creative ideas.

Just make sure you don't get the Brembo brake package on your stang. I think the minimum diameter wheel which will clear the brembos is an 18.

No Brembo's for me. Very limited on rims. And quite costly.

Don't know anything about the 15" rims posted above. I have Bogarts 15". Expensive, very light, and intended for racing only....not for street use. A mate of mine has a set (all 4) on his car that he intends to use for street duty....but not recommended.

If you get rims like 15" that are designed for one purpose like dragracing, they are not likely to serve you well for a completely different purpose, like daily driving......and the other way around. Besides that, you will want to put some racy DRs on and that is not recommended for wet road surfaces.

My Bogarts with slicks doing their thing.

Never mind that even if you never drive them in the rain - daily-driving your DR's will heat-cycle some of the grip right out of them.
