Default Roush lowering springs

Just purchased a set of 4 lowering springs from Roush- -part # 402331. They advertise lowering the rear 1.25" and the front 1.00"
My question is.. do I have to have the car realighned after the install?
Thanks,
Lee 2007 Mustang GT convertible

You don't have to but it's probably a good idea after tearing down your front end to install springs. Have you installed them yet? If your front end isn't nibbling or pulling you're probably ok. Your biggest worry should be camber out of range but at that lowering amount you're probably still in spec.

We have not had it aligned yet however an adjustable rear pan hard bar is highly recommended. It shoved the rear over 3/4". Cannot hurt to realign it just in case.

I would stay its damned near mandatory to get the wheels realigned. My friend lowered his 05 some years back and despite my prodding, he didn't get it aligned. The car tracked straight and didn't seem to have any problems. Coming back from an assignment a couple years later, he blew a front tire on the highway. Inside of the tire was worn down so much that it blew, while the outside of the tire looked completely fine. Albeit, he did have Eibach Sportlines, which are more of a radical drop, and perhaps this is more of a story of the importance of monitoring your tire wear, but you get the idea.

Its not essential that you do it right away. I would recommend you wait a week or so for the springs to settle before getting the alignment.

I bet you will have close to -2 degrees camber if not more.....going to need an alignment to bring it back to spec or your preferred settup. I went with -1.5 and it works very well.

I just installed the rear, and the front is still about 1/4 inch lower than the rear. I think it looks great, only took about an hour...

With only 1" in the front, an alignment may not be required, but you at least have to get it up on the rack just to make sure.

take it from an 10 customizer of all types of cars. Get your front end aligned anytime you touch your suspension or get new tires. Its just not worth the cost of the new tires.. once your tires start wearing incorrectly the tires will pull you alignment off even after you try and get them aligned.

Toe is the most critical wear angle and if it is off even a bit it can wreak havoc on your tires quickly.

So the logic is that anyone lowering their car need adjustable camber plates? Erik
