OEM Dust Boot and Metal Cup
Hi,
I have a 2007 Mustang GT and still have the OEM dampers front and back and want to change them to Koni Sport Struts and Shocks. I had a guy 3 years ago install the Eibach Pro Kit springs on my car and according to the instructions right from Eibach you are to remove the OEM dust boot and metal cup and use the dust boot only with the Eibach struts. But now that I want to install the Koni's I need to have the OEM dust boots and metal cups in order to install them. Does anyone know where I can get these parts cheap. I called my local Ford dealership here in Hawaii and they wanted over $50 for one metal cup. Outrageous. Please help.
Thanks

Not sure what you mean by 'metal cups' but I saw these boots while perusing ebay the other night...cheap.

Thanks for the information on the dust boots. If you go to Eibach.com and get the instuctions for the Pro Kit #3510140 you can get the picture I am talking about.
Bumpstop Instructions:
1. Remove and discard the
OE front bumpstop dust
boot and metal cup
assembly when installing
front springs. (See Photo 1)
2. Snap new Eibach boots
onto OE bumpstops and
reinstall. (See Photo 2)
So in photo 1 shows the oem dust boot, bump stop and metal cup and photo 2 shows the dust boot and oem bump stop but no metal cup. The metal cup is located on the top of the oem bump stop.
