Default New Coilover Kit $600

Looks like they've got another one posted for $600!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280597271893

I think I'm going to have to jump on this one. It's listed on their site for $1200.

Anyone have experience with the ride quality on the coilover setup? I know it's adjustable, but would this be overkill for a street car that will only occasionally see the track?

You would be better served getting something else. Depending on your definition of "occasionall see the track" IMO you would do better getting something else. There are a few topics here dicussing Roush's stuff do a search to gather your opinions.

Two ways to look at this.

1. Wow, look at that price!

2. The way I do... First the shocks are of unknown origin, springs are unknown rate. You are basically buying it because it says "Roush" on it. It sell for around $1500 normally, and sudden they are on sale for $600..... well most businesses don't stay around losing money, and maybe they are letting them go at cost. But that raises a red flag to me again because that means they would be building in HUGE profit margins. And it also means the stuff isn't very expensive (and you tend to get what one pays for in this world). And looks like they carry a 90 day warranty as all Roush over the counter parts do... can't find anything that states otherwise.

Or the third way--it's Ebay and that is just the starting bid. Seller is probably hoping the bidding frenzy drives the price to twice that.

For $600, probably a good buy. However, for the $1500 retail, you could do so much better as Sam has pointed out. Think Koni yellows ($750) and a Ground Control coilover conversion ($450) if you want to play with ride heights and spring rates. And with the money leftover, you can buy a set of good camber plates.
