So if there is birdshot in the stock PHB, and aftermarket PHB don't have this, why was there no change in NVH with aftermarkt bars?

Different materials, different rod/bar thickness, different bushings. Birdshot is way cheaper than utilizing some of the materials used by aftermarket bars or putting the research and time into figuring it out with less exotic materials.

Not to mention to a performance oriented crowd (one that would upgrade OEM suspension parts) WE know and are willing to accept a tradeoff in increased NVH for better performance. The MASS market is not.

Think about it, Consumer Reports doesn't care about performance as much as comfort, quiet, BORING stuff etc. They would bash the car as noisey and rough if it wasn't as quiet as a luxury car.
