Clearing GT500 brakes

Guys,

I have 18x9 Saleen replicas in an 99-04 offset and I want to make sure I can clear GT500 Brembos. I have about an inch of room from the stock caliper to the inside edge of the spoke, so it seems like I have plenty of room, however I was only able to unearth one pic of these rims with Saleen brakes (not sure if the tolerances are the same between the GT500 and Saleen calipers).

Can someone confirm this for me?

They may fit! I just bought a set of GT500 brakes for my car,I'm not sure if they will fit mine either. I wish i could find a template for them,no such luck yet!

Might be tight. Brembos need around one inch extra spacing.

It isn't so much the diameter that runs close as it is the front between the caliper and the spokes. If the spokes mount to the edge of the rim you're probably safe but if they go inward to mount in the center of the rim giving a wide rim look then my might hit. Now those are just rough approximates, actually fitting or a template is the only way to know for sure.

The spokes jut outward towards the edge of the rim. No lip at all.

I think I'll be hard to tell for sure till you try them on. The shape of the inner side of the spokes and the rim itself plays a role too.

Well I'd like to have a pretty good idea before I spend $700 on them haha.

I'll get a picture and some measurements later.

Seems I have more room than I thought...almost 1.75" from the caliper to the spoke. I think the Brembos will clear easily.

Looks good.

I can measure the difference between stockers and brembos and let you know.when I get back home tonight, I've got both on my bench now.
