Sam Strano is right,

Shocks and struts do matter. After much research on here and other forums, following Sam's advice, i installed Tokiko D-spec shocks and struts, along with Roush RSO rear springs with just a 3/4" drop. My 2008 GT is a daily driver but the improved damping action without harsh compression, like the stock set up, is so much better riding and handling. I am very pleased with the improved road feel and cornering action with the new set up. I used all new strut upper bushings and new nuts on all the fasteners i removed, per Ford's recomendations. The rear fender lip height is 28 1/4", and the front is also 28 1/4". Looks so much better with equal gap and still has a slight tail up look.

I always like it when someone publicly says I was right. :) Who wouldn't! Good dampers are the foundation of suspension on a car you want to work well.
