Default Inside Line Boss LS track test

http://blogs.insideline.com/straight...una-seca.html]

Check out the "comments." Yikes.

I owned a 6sp M3 and sold it for a 6sp 2011 GT. The M3 is a "nicer" car, and has better suspension. It was also difficult to drive on the track because all the power is above 6k which means lots of shifting, and, despite what you may have read, the shifting sucks! Let me qualify that: the 3-2 shift is so difficult I avoided it - In third gear at 3500 rpm, the m3 is goes about as well as a diesel Smart car; at 6000 rpm in second it is a scalded cat on meth!

Most racetracks are smooth enough that the solid axle should not be a problem for the GT/Boss. However, I will be avoiding the curbs...

If you recall MT's M3 v GT test, the "regular" driver was considerably quicker in the GT. Regular Joes (like me) don't have the talent to keep an m3 on the boil for 100% of a lap. I'm betting that the GT will make life a lot easier.

GT vs Boss: Have you seen the Boss dyno curve? The GT is good; the Boss is great. It will not be easy to match that curve without FoMoCo's resources. Or a supercharger...
