Urgent: Koni STR.T install question

Installing my STR.Ts now...are you guys putting moly grease (or similar) on the bolts that attach them to the frame?

Also, Do the bolts nuts need locktite? Or just a heavy dose of 'torque' (say ~ 120 in/lbs or so?)

Thanks

Definitely don't grease the bolts. What do you mean by frame? Don't use locktite, just torque the specs recommended by ford. I believe it's 165lbs on the lower bolt for a 2011 (less for poor years) and 26 lbs on the upper strut mount bolts. Don't get any heavier up top or you will snap the bolt and ruin your day.

Thanks! I was more concerned with 'squeaks' after install but if you say 'no grease' on the bolts, i'm going with 'no grease'....synthethic, moly or otherwise!

If you are reusing the "use one time only" Ford fasteners then blue Loctite is a good idea.

Do not use red Loctite.
