How to tell if struts are bad?
We installed a set of koni STR.T struts and shocks about a year ago with some Steeda Sports. They have about 5000 miles on them. I've always thought that gas charged struts (and shocks) should extend fully when no weight is on them but these don't. Well, one will, after about a minute. The other extends about half way and then stops. The original struts extend fully in about 10 seconds. The Konis are harder to push in than the original struts so they're not completely dead.
Is this normal? Or are they worn out?
Thanks,
Ken
