New to lowering springs... please help!
 

Alright guys (and gals) My next mod will prob be to lower my car. I don't want it SLAMMED, but enough for looks and cornering. Where do I start? How do i know what brand and how low to go?

you will hear a lot of different opinions from end users here. Sam Stranos is a pretty trusted source for information. I would give him a call, he will have you discuss your budget and desires for your suspension set up, and he will be absolutely realistic and honest with what would suit your wants. he won't sell you anything you wouldn't need or want.

Typical setup would be Steeda Sport springs with Koni STR.T dampers.

Looks and/or cornering?
Which is more important? Will you ever participate in road course HPDEs or autox events? If so, then perhaps coilovers for adjustable ride height or a complete Roush or Saleen or Ford Racing or Pedders or Steeda suspension kits.
Looks for auto shows and occasional canyon carving, then there are a vast array of options for you there too like Eibach, etc.
It depends on what you want to do.

Our sport springs will give you a 1 inch drop in the front and 1 1/4 drop in the rear.

Do you just use your car for daily driving or do you occasionally track it? That could determind what other upgrades you may want to pursue for the car. If you are just wanting a lowered vehicle better handling then the sport springs are the first step.

yeah i was looking at the steeda sport springs earlier, i like the drop proportion with the inch in the front and 1 1/4 in the back, seems very suitable. Ill be driving on the road, i like to take corners hard.

I think the front springs were designed for a V8's weight to have a 1" drop. The V6 weighs less so I assume there would be less drop in ride height.
