panhard bar... Need help deciding
 

So I am about to order a panhard bar in a bit, and trying to decide between these two:

They're both pretty much the same price, so that's no issue. I know the steel one may be geared toward higher HP cars, but it looks like it may have a little bit eaier install, and the bushings are greasable<----- That's my main question. Are the greasable bushings something I would/could benefit from? My car is stock so far under the hood and is my daily driver. So nothing more than the spirited drive every now and again. Which one??

I just received the steel one but haven't installed it yet. Waiting for the rest of my suspension goodies to arrive to do the work.

Either one would probably be OK. As you said the steel might be a little easier to install but wouldn't think either one is that difficult. Should be able to talk about that in a few weeks.

I would go with the first one if you have a street car. It's chrome-moly, which is stout, and the poly ends are greasable. The 2nd one looks like it was designed to be able to upgrade to rod ends for track use without buying a new bar and doesn't state that it's greasable. Being not greasable wouldn't be a deal breaker for me but I guess it's a nice feature if you ever get some squeaking from the panhard bar. FWIW I've had my Steeda adjustable on my car for over a year and haven't heard a peep out of it. On-car adjustable would be the biggest thing for me, which is possible with both bars you listed above. Also, ordering from American Muscle will give you peace of mind that any problems will be handled professionally.

I have the first one and it was a super easy install and easy to adjust in any flat parking lot. I do recommend installing it at the stock panhard bar length and driving around the block then adjusting the bar. I have had no issues with the locking bolts coming loose and I auto-x my car so it does see some lateral G's.

Thanks for the replies. I went ahead with the aluminum bar. It seemed to have a lot of good reviews, and I would assume I'tll be plenty stout for my use. So why are some made greasable and what not, and some aren't? Probably over thinking that part of it, yes? Do these things tend to need regreaesing after a while? Sorry for all the questions, but I am suspenion illiterate...
