I will be doing a lot of modding (supercharger and suspension first) once I get back, so you're more than welcome to peek in. =)
Will do. Engine-wise I'm pretty pleased with the stock set-up on mine. I don't think I really need more and there's bigger room for improvement handling wise. Gonna have to take it to the 'ring for an open day for sure though. I mean....we're in Germany....why on earth not?

Because of all of that armco and what they charge you to replace it if you bend it?

Eh. I took my 2010 GTI there on one of the open days and had a blast. Not very expensive and I wasn't interested in doing a hot lap. I just enjoy the chance to take a spirited drive and not get a ticket, on an iconic course!

I suppose I was probably going about 7/10ths. I basically backed off if there was any kind of tire-scrubbing. I also took it easy on the more drawn out sections because the track is quite bumpy and the fun part is going around the corners, not flying by at 130mph and feeling like the vehicle is going to hit a bump and wind up in the trees.

I don't have any kind of training or competitive experience - I generally can handle myself pretty good but I see no point in pushing things on a course that's proven as dangerous as the green hell. It's still fun to buzz around it a couple times though!
