I run the HP+ pads on the street and agree they squeal like crazy unless you get them heated up. It doesn't really bother me that much but I do get a lot of looks from people who are wondering why I'm driving such a nice car with "crappy" brakes. But they do seam to bite pretty well when cold, so they are safe to drive on the street, and they hold up decently on the track, although not as well as a dedicated track pad.

If you to hear noise try running Carbotech HP10s on the street!

All 4 corners squeal and sometime with different tones. It is like a symphony.

I have used the HPS on mine for a couple years and never a squeal from them. Great stopping power too. This is with street use only. I actually bought the equivalent for my Touareg and they perform great ad are silent on that too.

I went back to HPS pads after having the HP+ pads. They are really for Canyon carving or racing. I now have the Stop-Tech big brake upgrade up front, but I still have matching Shelby slotted rotors in back with my HPS pads on them. Erik

Pretty much the same (lack of noise) experience here, spread out over three different cars. Lots of hard braking in street use, some autocrossing, and the Mustang's HPS pads even survived a day of cautious but somewhat harder use without getting noisy.

The only time I get any noise at all is if I don't drive one of the cars for a couple of weeks or more, and for the first few stops while you're scraping the oxide off everything they'll talk back to you a bit. Dunno, maybe you need to use even a performance street pad fairly hard from 50+ mph on a fairly regular basis?

I'm looking at some hawk brake pads too...but dont really want any squeaking since its mainly a street driven car.

does anyone have any experience with the hawk ceramic pads...i think they are called hawk pc.

are they a worthy upgrade over the stock pads?

Getting ready to put Stoptech rotors and HPS pads on my '06 GT. Will report back on the difference from my current Hawk QuietSlot rotors & HP+ setup to the new Stoptech & HPS setup.
