Shelby GT, Shelby Terlingua Sway Bars?!?
So, I'm killing time at work browsing around the shelbystore website and stumble across these sway bars for ridiculously low prices and I'm thinking about snatching a pair up but I know NOTHING about them other than the description on the site. The fronts are 35mm and 3-way adjustable (and $49.95!!), the rears 23mm ($69.99!). I have a 2011 Mustang GT with bone stock (non-Brembo) suspension. Are these worth picking up at practically give-away prices?
My handling needs are a little bit of autocross, 1 or 2 track days a year, and a lot of twisty back roads. Future suspension mods on the list are Koni Yellows and possibly Steeda sport springs.
Thanks,
Josh
Front: Product 5S3Z-5482
These front sway bars were developed for the Shelby GT and Shelby Terlingua program. They add stiffness to your suspension to prevent excessive body roll associated with your factory bars making your car handle in a more precise and predictable manner.
This kit includes a large, 35mm front bar, which has three adjustable end link mounting points for increased stiffness and upgraded polyurethane bushings. The sway bar is cold formed from high allow steel and heat treated to stringent specifications and powder coated graphite grey.
Rear: Product 5S3Z-5486
These rear sway bars were developed for the Shelby GT and Shelby Terlingua program. They add stiffness to your suspension to prevent excessive body roll associated with your factory bars making your car handle in a more precise and predictable manner.
The kit includes a 23mm rear bar along with upgraded polyurethane bushings and 7075-T6 billet aluminum rear H-beam design chassis links. The bar is cold formed from high alloy steel and heat treated to stringent specifications and is powder-coated graphite grey.

Are they solid or tubular? If tubular, what's the wall thickness?
Will they fit with any other suspension modifications that you already have or might do? (Watts links and LCA relocating brackets are the most likely to cause problems.)
Sounds to me like they're having a clean-out-the-warehouse/close-out sale.

Let me tell you the quality is amazing, fit and finish is perfect! Installed them today, on stiffest setting they are so good there is too little body roll! You have to be careful or you can induce OVERSTEER pretty easily
