tire size question 275/40/18 or stock gt 500 size
size question 275/40/18 or stock gt 500 size ultra lites 18x9.5 been running 255/45/18 and 285/40/18 rear I know some run 275/40/18, looking for input on if I should stay with the size I got or switch to the 275/40/18 all around handling wise looks wise pros and cons. Thanks

I'm not too sure I've been running staggered but don't know advantages or disadvantages of going 275 all around other then rotation like looks tracking road feel and all that good stuff I couldn't find a specific answer during the searches I've done

The one downside to running tires that wide all the way around is you run into tramlining. All vehicles do this to some degree, but running a 275 up front will do it more so than usual.....I run a 275/35/18 up front on my Cobra and I've definitely experienced this several times driving on the interstates here in Atlanta, but not to the point that I'd change.

Handling-wise, 275/40's on same width wheels all around will be a little closer to neutral handling mid-corner and on corner exit (all else constant). Initial turn-in might be a tiny bit "softer" due to the 255-wide fronts being relatively stiffer than 275's when they're both mounted on the same width wheels. You may or may not notice this.
I don't see anything in your sig that really calls for a staggered setup, although with the 4.10's I'd expect that you'd have to be a little more careful about adding throttle on corner exit if you use the more neutral "square" setup to drive the corners harder than you do now.
FWIW, I have 255/45's on 18x9.5 wheels all around, but not your 4.10's, and I almost never get into tramlining situation.

Never though of it I guess more for looks and I know 285 is probably not much wider then 275 I've never seen anyone running that set up I just go by what steedas set up is 275 all around and by gt500 255/f 285/r

275/40-18s will keep the OEM rolling diameter
