V6 Sway Bar Installation

I'm finally got around to adding the rear sway on my V6 Stang and had a few questions...

For those interested, here are the Ford part numbers for the nuts & bolts needed for the rear bar.
Qty 4 - W711368-S439
Qty 4 - W520213-S440
Qty 2 - W708737-S439
Qty 2 - W520214-S440

I was going to go with Ford parts, but at around $110 for nuts & bolts, I'm trying to piece with generic stuff. After some digging around I found that needed the Ford Bolts are:
12mm x 65mm (Qty. 2)
10mm x 30mm (Qty. 4)

Would these be suitable replacements?

Good question. I have similar bolts (and swaybar) in my basement waiting to be installed next spring....

These are auto grade bolt...grade 8, so from what I read I Should be ok....what kind of nuts and bolts did you get?

I actually found bolts, nuts & washers in those sizes that are class 10. I went ahead and purchased them.

I bought my screws from Tousley Ford b/c they were cheaper.

Do you already have the GT rear sway bar for the convertible (it's different from the coupe version)? If not, I have an extra for sale (here).

I checked there to, it still didn't beat the price I paid for grade 10 nuts, bolts & washers. Funny story about my sway bar. I ordered a set of GT takeoffs over two years ago from Diversified Marketing / New Takeoff. I pulled them out because I plan to install soon and I noticed the rear sway didn't have the white link arms like all the other vert rear sways I've seen so I contacted the vendor. They researched the part and said that while both should fit, the one with white linkages is newer and 'beefier'. I was ok with having to pay money to get the beefier one because it was my oversight when the pieces were shipped to me back in 2010, but they weren't having any of that. They sent me a new one out free of charge, they even covered shipping! It'll be here next week! So unfortunately I won't need the one you're selling. Hopefully you can unload it soon.

I used the Ford stuff for around $40 bucks.
Cant beat that and I did not have to waste
gas driving around looking for the proper hardware.

It looks and performs like OEM. :)

And get the ProThane poly bushings while you are
at it or you are just wasting your time.

If you are going for the 18mm PP rear sway to compliment
the 31.5 V6 front sway, great.
If you are adding the 20mm GT rear sway, you really need
to upgrade to the 34mm GT front sway as well to balance
things out.
I did this back in 07 and have not looked back yet...

Thanks for the info. I got them as a kit. They are both GT takeoffs. Where did you get your bushings from, do you remember? That was a killer price for the Ford nuts & bolts...unfortunately I can't find them for even twice that price now. I did manage to get stuff that's actually stronger than the Ford stuff for just under $40 shipped from Fastenal & store pickup at Advance Auto (Grade 10 washers).

www.mustangsunlimited.com
has the entire ProThane line.
Search 'prothane'.
34mm for the front GT sway
and 20mm for the rear GT sway.
They were cheap for what I received.

And I did the PanHard bushings at the same time.
Might as well do the whole job to actually
feel a big difference.

I also did the shifter bushings as well.
Plus a Saleen Short Shifter kit...
No more missed 2-3 shifts...
