Default Lowering Springs on my '08

Hi everyone. I've used this forum countless times as a resource and I'm just looking for some advice in lowering my stang. I have just recently installed a gt takeoff exhaust which sounds fantastic but other than that my car is a stock PP sixer. I am looking into giving my car a better stance and improved handling.

I am looking into installing just the lowering springs, in particular the SR performance lowering springs. Im am just concerned that it will lead to future problems. Other than needing an adjustable panhard bar and camber bolts is there anything else required for a smooth install? Would there be any issues with the driveshaft, or any other factory parts?

I am planning to do the install myself and take it afterwards for an alignment.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Sounds like a plan.

I don't know anything about those springs...I always recommend the Eibach Pro-Kit....and installed quite a few of them.

What adjustable pan-hard bar are you planning to get? I recommend the BMR PHR006. As far as the camber bolts, I wouldn't install them immediately. Put everything back together, take it to the alignment shop and see if you even need them. If you do, they can install them, if not, you can return them.

Also, look on the main 2005-2013 page, you'll see "how-to" threads at the top...TacoBill has some awesome guides on how to do a lot to your car, including lowering your car. Check it out.

Good Luck.

edit - here are the (2) "how-to's" that will help...

^^pretty much what he said.

The only thing I'll add is that I believe our UPR/Eibach Pro Springs (which are made by Eibach to the same specs as their Pro Kit springs) are a little less expensive than the Pro Kit springs:

And I'd recommend the UPR Pro Street PHB:

^^I have those springs and that PHB on my car and they work well.

I would not recommend camber bolts even though we sell them. The lowering springs don't at that much negative camber, and the little they do add helps in cornering. When I installed my springs, I just had the alignment shop zero out the toe and it was good to go. Daily driven that way for years.
