Is there any real benefit from upgrading from a 9x19 to a 9.5x19 wheel?

in performance gain sure it will be a little better as long as you put a bigger tire on it, but not a huge difference. But if the main reason is for looks and you like the design then hell ya its worth it.

Wider front rims with wider tires will weigh more, create more wind drag, and dont help in straight line accelleration - So they will probably cause a slight decrease in 1/4 mile performance, along with a slight increase in handling and braking abilities. Wider rears may help provide traction towards accelleration and also handling but have the drawbacks of higher weight usually along with more wind resistance than a narrow tire.

Overall i think the difference will be negligible especially if you use the same kind of tires on the new rims. really depends on your goals
