Well, thank you for that graphic image.

FWIW, we have never had a camber plate do that. Ever. Even camber plates on rally cars at WRC Mexico that took huge hits during a double roll and cracked the bearing holder. Even camber plates on road racing cars that performed multiple rolls and had huge deformation of the strut tower tops.

Four parts would have to fail before the strut shaft could go through the mount. And even if the strut shaft went through the mount, it would still locate the spring perch in place, preventing the car from collapsing.

I think you need to take a better look at how the camber plates are built and educate yourself on their construction and failure modes if you are going to talk about them like an expert.
