Default Widest tire for lowered mustang

I have a 2011 Mustang GT with SVE 19"x9.5" Drift wheels. I have lowered the car with Eibach springs, and I use the car for canyon carving.

Offset +35mm
Backspacing 6.63"

I'd like to put some 285 Nitto tires on the car...but before I buy I want to know if they will fit. Anyone running tires like this?

I run 9.5'' Shelby rims on 285 and have easily space for a 295, id say probably a 305 too, and im on coilover

I have 305s on the rear and they stick out slightly farther than the fenders but they fit and dont rub, and look good.

285 on 9.5s should be fine in terms of fitment

I run 315's on the back of mine but they stick out the fenders a bit, and do rub. I'd say 20x11 with a 305 is the largest fitment you can run on the back of the car.

With a 9.5 though, I'd say 285's are perfect, and 295's are a little bulged, but they do work.

A 305 on a 10" rim off set 45mm is perfectly flush with the fender. Erik

I'm running a 285/40/18 on 18x10 SVE drift wheels

So what tire r u gonna want to run on the rear? 285/35/19? That will be less than the stock 27.1 inch diameter so u will need to correct for that. That should be no problem on the front since ur offset is a 35 instead of 43 for the 18s

Yeah, I was going to go with 285/35/19s all around, I really like Nitto NT555 but they only go to 275 so I was going to go with the INVOs even though they cost a bit more. Or I might go with the Goodyear F1 Supercar tires.

I am assuming you are talking about a speedo issue with the diameter of the tires...will a tuner fix that issue?

if you go with a shorter tire, you will have more wheel gap. I prefer a 28 inch tire for looks.

shorter tire will be lighter and lower your gearing and probably increase your performance slightly overall though.

I think the F1 supercars are discontinued, I wanted those and I saw some websites saying back order until march but most saying discontinued.

Tuner can fix the diameter change.
