Camaro's 1LE similar wheel & tire set up for our GT's?
#11
I'm guessing that a 19" version of any 18 x ? would work as long as the offset remains the same . . . and the tire OD doesn't get any larger, which generally means using a 5 profile shorter 19" tire (ex. 275/35-19 vs 275/40-18). The wheel would gain a little clearance on the strut side because the strut leans away from it, but you'd probably be more limited by the maximum tire section width which wouldn't move "upward" by the same amount and gain as much. Outer (sheetmetal side) clearances would not change at all, although it would take a little less suspension movement with the 19's to get into any possible rubbing there.
The front endlink stud on the OE and some aftermarket endlinks would remain a problem, but shouldn't be any worse of one.
NOTE: - I have to say "guessing" here because there are tire & wheel cases where clearances could easily be less than 1/8" (3mm), and individual cars can vary by half that much even before swapping in aftermarket parts having slightly different dimensions than OE. Or some tires with a much heavier rub strip where the rub strip could make strut contact where other tires wouldn't. Etc., etc.
