Default GT500 suspension on GT

So I recently got a new job and my boss has a 2008 GT500 that he replaced the suspension in. So He is going to give the everything for a couple hundred dollars. I'm also going to get some lowering springs since I don't like the ride hight of the GT500 stock. My question is, is the 08 GT500 suspension a decent swap for a couple hundred dollars?

What is a couple hundred? $200? If so, I would just get Koni STR.T's instead for $325 or spend the extra and get Koni Sport Yellows for $610. Especially if you are going to replace the springs anyways, it's like you are paying for just the shocks and struts. If he gave you the shocks/struts for $100 I would say worth it.

The entire suspension. Springs (which I would replace anyway), struts, shocks, sway bars. It's pretty much a complete suspension. So it's not just the shocks, struts, and springs

not worth it. The GT500 isn't exactly a major upgrade from the GT at all.

...except for the strut mounts, which is about all you're gaining

Agreed. I'd recommend aftermarket. (UPR Products) That way you get a significant upgrade for your money/labor.

Honestly, if u were getting the parts for free and they were being installed for free while u sat in a lawn chair drinking a beer, i still wouldnt use that suspension. Have u driven a stock 2007-2009 GT500? It is only minimally stiffer than a GT. You r basically spending $200 on crappy non adjustable sway bars, since ur not using the springs and the shocks are also crap.

Spend ur money on both new parts and parts that actually will improve the handling of ur car.
