Default Yet another GT springs on a V6 thread

I've scored 2014 GT Track Pack goodies for my base 2014 V6. Looking at the bottom of the front springs (they're not closed and not ground) I realized that the front springs can be cut down a bit to accommodate the lighter front end.

Spare me the herp derp whargarbbl about spring cutting; rodders have been doing it for decades and it works.

I'm trying to avoid screwing around with multiple cuts. Has anyone done this and if so, how much of the bottom coil did you cut off?
