Default 2013 gt suspension on a 2010 v6

Im pretty sure i already know the answer but I want to throw this out there to verify my information.

Will the shocks and struts off a 2013 mustang gt fit on my 2010 v6.? I need new shocks and struts and my buddy has his stock setup with only 2000 miles that he will give me but i would like to make sure it fits before I take them.

Thanks

The upper strut mounts were changed in 2011. A 2011+ strut won't work with a 2010 strut mount. You can, however, use the 2013 strut mount on 2010 cars, so if your buddy also upgraded to some sort of aftermarket camber plate and this deal includes the 2013 upper mount in it's entirety (some of the aftermarket camber plates re-use some of the old hardware), then the swap will still work. Otherwise you can look into buying new strut mounts yourself.

Rear shocks will bolt in just fine, no difference between 2010 and 2013.

I did something similar. I have a complete 2014 Track Pack GT setup on my 2014 V6 coupe. Impressed with everything but the Track Pack rear shocks which are way too damned stiff. Swapped for Koni orange and now I'm really happy with the car. Total outlay: about $300.

I was thinking about getting the track pack setup myself. Thanks for the advice

The only parts that really matter from the track pack are the springs. The dampers can all be replaced with Koni orange and the sway bars are ordinary GT.
