I have a 2014 GT and a set of the FRPP 18x9.5 2010 GT500 wheels for it.

I'm leaning toward Michelin AS3 tires as they have good reviews and seem to have a good road manners. The car is a daily driver only, no racing or track so these seem like a good fit.

I don't know whether to go with the stock GT500 sizes of 255-45-18 & 285-40-18 or 275-40-18 all around. I like the same size because then I could rotate them, but they're a little shorter and I'm not sure if the 275 in the front will cause any issues like tramlining.

Any suggestions or first hand experience with these tires?

I've got the same wheels with 255/45 18s on them. Continental ExtremeContact DW tires. Good tires but could be a bit wider. That's as narrow as you can do on 9.5" wheels. One word, I do get just a touch of rubbing on full turns on stock suspension.

I've been running GT500 wheels with 255/45-18 Max Performance summer tires on my car for several years - as my "3-season" setup. If your car came with 18" wheels, you won't have any rubbing (it's a steering stop thing). A car that was originally built with 17" wheels may require different steering stops be fitted, or just the driver being conscious of not turning the steering wheel all the way to where it stops.

For 275/40-18 vs 255/45-18 or 285/40-18 . . . you'd never notice any difference in the driving that would be caused by such a small difference in height.

Tramlining is a slightly different story, but this seems to be more a function of the specific tire mfr/model choice than tire size. I never had tramlining with the 255/45's . . . and I'm still not, not even with 285/35 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on 18 x 11 wheels front and rear.

My GT has 18" wheels so I should be okay there.

I'll probably go with the 275's for the benefit of being able to rotate them and hope I don't have any tramlining issues. I really don't care for the look of the 255's on the 9.5" wide wheel.

I have a 2014 Brembo GT with the 18x9.5" GT500 wheels and 275/40s all around. I have no issues with tramlining or rubbing etc. Had a 2010 GT with the same wheel and tire setup before, and also no issues. Don't think you can go too wrong, and the ability to rotate them is pretty huge in a car that wears rear tires in the way a Mustang is capable of.

I'm using the AS3 here. Decent traction, but not fantastic. Very good ride, and very quiet going down the road. Handling, corner, etc., are all good. Just doesn't hook great, but go figure with my set up.

Thanks CPTCO. Mine is a daily driver so I'm not concerned with ultimate traction. The good ride and quiet, along with good looks, are more important to me.

I have run Sumitomo HTRZ IIIs and Cooper RS3s. The Sumis aren't the best summer tire, but they are reasonably grippy, feel decent and are just filthy cheap compared to most. I liked the RS3s a bit better, and they don't cost much more.

I am considering the AS3s as well for daily driver use (have another set of wheels/tires for the track), just so the car has some sort of grip in cold weather; summer tires all seem to go 'off' around 40-45 degrees, at which point the car becomes awfully squirrly. Not sure all seasons would cure that, but in theory they stay a little more pliable in cold temps.
