Default Rear Shocks

08 GT. I need to change the rear shocks and I noticed with the car on the ground in its normal stance the bottom shock bolts look as though they clear the sway bar. If I put the rear end up on ramps, seems I would be able to remove those bolts without removing the sway bar upper link bolts. I'm sure I will have to compress the shocks to install, but it wouldn't be the first time. Seems like less steps. Yes?

My '08 shop manual makes no mention of the rear stabilizer bar or its links.

That figures. I was working with a 2005-2007 manual. Didn't think there would be a big difference. I'm wondering if they slightly redesigned the ends of the bar for 08 on to resolve that issue. I also read that there was a problem with the ends of the bars breaking off pre 2008?? Thanks Norm

No idea about any bar breakage. Then again, I've had one or the other of Strano's adjustable rear bars on mine since about 2010.
