All of you that chose the Z06shouldn't even being in a Mustang... The GT500 could easily overpower a stock Z06.... Spend the extra 10k on a KenneBell, Tuning, Suspension, and Tires.... You'll be pushing more than 700rwhp on pump gas... Can the Z06 beat that? I don't think so?
Anyways take your Z06's, I personally would rather have a 500!

are you financing the GT500 or did you buy it straight up? if not, why didn't you just put that money down on a Z06. a buddy of mine has a cousin who just purchased a brand new triple black Z06 verte that is absolutely beautiful! but seriously, how much speed do you need? is this a daily car you depend on driving to work or what not?

My honest review:
You made the right choice. Z06s are fast, but when you see one, you dont gap in awe. You say "hey look, a $90k corvette with a 7L engine"
Ive seen a few GT500s and have sat in them before, and they are spectacular for the price. If the dealers didnt gouge (my only real gripe with the Gt500) it wouldnt even be a question which one to buy. Can you imagine being able to walk into any Ford dealer and buy a gt500 like you can a Z06?
Most of the reviews for the Z06 say how touchy and hard to control the Z06s are, especially at the driving limits of the vehicle. One of the pro drivers in the Motor Trends handling tests actually wanted to drive it last due to it being such a PITA to drive. Sounds like a fun weekend car...
I saw an article where they put a procharger (or vortech, not sure but one of the two) on a Z06 and it actually was slower in the 1/4 because they couldnt get traction. So the Gt500 isnt the only one youll have to mod to put the power to the ground...
Dont listen to the haters. GT500 is a better vehicle unless your going to be doing 200mph on the highway.
Haha oh, and if you do decide to do 200mph on the freeway, make sure you duct tape your Z06 roof to make sure it doesnt fly away...
