Default Hood Pins

The stock hood pins are JUNK! I had one come loose and beat the crap out of my hood and headlight before I realizedwhat was going on. The rings come loose from the pin and the pin will not "lock". This allows the pin to back out at speed and then beat the living $#!+ out of the hood. I would recommend that anyone who has the pins look into this or you may need to get a paint touch up.If anyone has an idea for a replacement that is better I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

I also have a 2007 Black Shelby GT and I noticed the hood pin to bebacking outdue to the ring openning. I was lucky and it did not come out completely yet. What about the cables? It seems that the cable will eventually wear the paint off as well. Any problems there?

No problems with the cables yet. I removed the rings and pins from the cables and tucked the cables under the hood. The dealer has ordered new pins.
