Default New GT500

Hello,
I just purchased my GT500 and I was looking at doing some light mods. I hear a CAI really helps these SC motors.I already ordered a K&N. Will the MAF compensate for the increased air flow? Also I'm looking at a Corsa and Borla A/B. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Don't go with a K&N CIA go with something more substantial, doing just that and a tune adds 100 hp. No joke.

Are u saying that the K&N won't hold up? Also, is a tune necessary with a cai? Forgive the elementary questions, Im new to supercharged motors.
Thanks

Get the CAI, tune and pulley kit from Steeda. The pulley swap is quite easy and the canned tune actually works pretty good until you get the car on a dyno. That's the setup I started with when the car was new.

When you're ready to sit at the grownups table, we can start talking about KB's...

Have fun! The car is practically unbreakable anyway...

OK I took some advice from you guys and sent the K&N back. I'm reading numerous posts that the K&N alone without a tune will have you runnning dangerously lean. I purchased a JLT/SCT combo from Brenspeed. I'll post some dyno numbers when she breaks in.

Thanks for all the info!
