Also since there are 6k LED bulbs available that are much cheaper I see no reason to go with the HID fogs.

Here are the bulbs i just purchased, will be installing them next week.

I have these, the color is good for a headlight match. They aren't much for actual lighting though. I would like HID's but fear them melting the housing.

im running vled foglight 6k LED bulb and it matches my 6k HIDs great!, my dad is running their 5k with his stock HIDs and its just a tad blue-er. They put out the most light for any LED bulb currently on the market that will fit a GT500 foglight housing. Many people (07 to 13) have reported even the lowest watt HIDs have melted their housings (each cost ~$80 a piece) Some people have taken the sticker off the top of the housing and drilled out the hole to make it larger (allowing more heat to escape) and so far I have yet to find evidence supporting/refuting this "fix"

Id play it safe and go for a replacement bulb or go the LED route... JS
