Hood vent removal
Good Afternoon Everyone,
Giving my 68k mile GT500 a good washing and waxing this afternoon and I wanted to pop out the hood hot air extractor vents to put some of the blackening goop on them as they are a bit faded. However the vents do not seem to pop out easily. Afraid to break them so I was wondering if anyone else has removed those hood vents for proper cleaning?
Thanks,
MSB Mustang

The vents are held down by clips as well as double sided tape. If you remove them, you will have to scrap the tape off and put on new double sided tape. I do not recommend removing them. But if you really want to it will not be a big deal, just buy 3m double sided tape and re-apply.
