I am now in the southern AZ region, close to Tucon. I found a Ford dealer in Sierra Vista, and they are really looking at trading in my 04 lightning and 07 SGT for a 08 GT500. they have 2, a red with white stripes that includes the shaker 500 w/ nav system. (is the nav system as good as TomTom or similar device?) and they have a blk w/grey stripes w/ ambient lighting and shaker 1000. both are are smokin sexy to me, so i guess the final decision will be based on the features. is the ambient lighting a "cool" feature worth the price? and is there a noticable difference in the shaker 500 vs. 1000? this is a huge purchase and i am really trying to do homework, as i trust almost all ppl on here. thanks to anyone in advance that places opinions or facts. laters

Well, CONGRATS!! I had the Shaker 1000 in my 08 Bullitt and there was a huge difference in BASS sound, I loved it and miss it in the GT500, As for the Ambient lighting, it is nice but no biggie, It looks nice at night, during the day you cannot even see it! If you are trading both in are they paying you a difference??.....Oh by the way, the clutch takes some getting used to, also the noise from the clutch is outragious!!

is it the same clutch as the standard GT? or is it is something like a centerforce. also, has anyone used the factory GPS system? thanks again

I didn't read the entire initial post, but my vote goes with the latter....black and grey for me...

No the clutch is a dual ceramic clutch, not the same as the GT.

i saw the black with silver stripes up here and damn that is sexy...and the shaker 1000 is amazing...got with blk u wont regret it and more stealth so less attention from cops unlike the red....i have a read f-150 and cops are always all over me

thanks guys, think im really leaning towards the blk/grey. the red is nice too, its auctually easier to tell its a 500, vs gt to most people. but i suppose thats a good thing, as cops love soldiers, well their money anyway. think im going to call the insurence co on monday with the vin from the blk/grey, assuming the bank comes through and the negative equity dosent kill me too bad
