Default JLT intake owners i need your help

08 GT500 have the JLT intake with the new style heat shield. Having some troubles getting it to fit just right. I've had it installed for a month now and noticed that the shield seems to be rubbing on the corner of the filter. It also doesnt seem to sit in the U channel very well. I have spent a good 1hr plus trying to get it to fit just right. What I am wondering is how well does yours fit? Did it just drop right in and you have no rubbing issues? Any pics would help too. Thanks again for the help everyone.

I would give Jay a call, from what I understand, great customer service. I just installed mine but waiting for Brenspeed tune, mine also hit the corner of the filter. I put alittle 3M tape on the bottemof the shield to hold it away from the filter.

No mine just didnt drop right in, it took some time. It does go down in the heat shield but not all the way. What I did was loosen all the clamps, and make sure you angle the CF in the TB boot down so its almost touching the coil cover. Also pull the CF up in the top boot so its almost touching the PCV coupler on the TB side.If its too low you wont fit under the strut tower brace. My heat shield also hits the filter a little. No biggie. Im at work but Ill post some pics when I get home. You arent alone..I had to call JLT and they walked me through it. They do have great customer service.
